Frequently
Asked Questions
|
|
About this website,
or Walt Disney |
- "What are those fonts
you use?, how can I get them?"
- The font used in many of our
logos is called "Anastasia." It is very similar to
the design used in the "Fantasia" logo. You can download
the font by clicking here.
|
- "Why are you celebrating
Walt Disney's 100th Birthday anyway?"
- Well, Walt Disney can be considered
as a true American hero. He brought the world closer to old tales
and stories, by bringing them back to life, through animation.
His brilliant ideas and thoughts created marvelous new fields
of entertainment. Now, all these thoughts are in the opinion
of this website, but he was a great man, and the world should
know about him.
|
- "So, why are you celebrating
his birthday now, it's not until 2001?"
- This site is not just about
Walt Disney's 100th Birthday, it's about him. We are trying to
promote his 100th Birthday, by using banners etc. Hopefully you
will be able to take one of our banners and put it on your website.
|
- "This 'Walt Disney's
Birthday Card' thing, what exactly are you collecting names for
anyway?"
- Well, manly to show that people
still care, and know who Walt Disney is as the man, not the company.
Once all the names have been collected on our list, we are going
to mail off the printed list to Diane Disney Miller, on her father's
100th Birthday, December 5th, 2001.
|
- "When was Walt Disney
born, when will his 100th Birthday be?"
- Walt Disney was born on December
5, 1901, add one-hundred years to that, and you'll get December
5, 2001.
|
- "Was Walt Disney cryogenically
frozen?"
- Walt Disney was not cryogenically
frozen. Actually, he always talked about being cremated, which
he was. In fact, at the time of Walt's death, the technology
to put someone in a Cryogenically "frozen" state was
not even available.
|
- "How did Walt Disney
die?"
- He had advanced lung cancer,
probably caused by many years of smoking. Walt's smoker's cough
warned employees that he was near. He generally had a cigarette
in his hands; for years he preferred unfiltered Lucky Strikes.
Later, he smoked strong French cigarettes called Gitanes. He
passed away on December 16, 1966.
|
- "Was Walt dishonorably
discharged from the U.S. Military?"
- No. First of all, Walt Disney
was never in the army. He was a volunteer for the Red Cross Ambulance
Corps for a year, following World War I. And he wasn't dishonorably
discharged from that, either.
