100 Years of Disney!

On December 5, 1901, Walter Ellias Disney was born to Elias Disney, and Flora Call Disney. At the time no one knew of how this child would impact World Culture. Walt Disney was a true dreamer, a person who could take the imagination and put it into reality.

 

This site has been established to celebrate Walt Disney's 100th Birthday. December 5, 2001, will be the 100th Anniversary of Walt Disney's birth.

Walt Disney's 100th Birthday Card

Currently Walt Disney's 100th Birthday Card is en route to Mrs. Diane Disney Miller. We will post any further developments on any news.

December 5, 2001	WALT DISNEY'S 100TH BIRTHDAY
November 20	We've just been told that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the folks who do the "Academy Awards") are honoring Walt Disney. On December 5, Leonard Maltin will host a special evening all about Walt's life Click Here for More Information.
November 10-11	The site has been updated, and the last of the names have been downloaded. We will be mailing the card a week or two before Walt's birthday. We'll keep you posted on what happens.
October 6. 2001	Walt Disney's 100th Birthday Card has been updated. Currently 10,575 names. It has been decided that the deadline to sign the card will be November 10. We would like to compile all the names, print them out, and send them to Diane Disney Miller by December 1. (That way it'll arrive by December 5th)
October 1, 2001	The Walt Disney World, and the Marceline sections have been completed. Also, the "real" Walt Disney's 100th Birthday card has been shipped to Marceline. Expect to see it there!
September 16, 2001	Walt Disney's 100th Birthday Card has been updated. There are currently 10,314 Names. Will we meet our newest goal of 12,000? The site is undergoing a few changes. The design has changed over the past few years, and it quite a mess. Our co-founder, Ryan Wilson, has sent a real birthday card to Marceline Missouri, where the real 100th Birthday Celebration is happening We'd like to send our thanks to the folks at Marceline for making our dream come true.
